Produced between Dec 1915 and early 1916 only between 3o,ooo and 35,000 were produced ,the M16 square dip was officially withdrawn from service after stress fractures to make way for the regular M16 ,this early example is idetified because of the sqare dip and the liner being made from all leather constuction ,if you need more information email me
